
A. To work on a construction site you need to have a valid CSCS card. To obtain a card you will need to have a certificate in a relevant qualification. If you have a qualification you will only need to sit your CSCS test and apply for a CSCS card. To check if your qualification is relevant you can do so here.
A. If you currently hold a Green Labourers card you will need to check if your Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment certificate is still valid. If it is you will need to sit your CITB Health, safety and environment (HS&E) test commonly referred to as the CSCS test. Once you have completed and passed you can then apply for your CSCS card. If your certificate has expired you will need to undertake the Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment training and assessment and then take the CSCS test in order to renew your CSCS card.

A. Candidates must present one of the following:
A valid international travel passport. A valid passport of any nationality with a photograph of the candidate and their signature.
A Driving License. A valid UK only driving license with a photograph of the candidate and the candidate’s signature.
Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) or Biometric Residence Card (BRC) - only to be used as primary ID with a signature.
If a candidate does not have the required form of primary ID they may present two forms of secondary ID. This must be one ID from List A, and one ID from List B (two from List A or two from List B is not acceptable). One type of secondary ID should have a photo and one should have a signature.
