Q. What do I need to apply for my CSCS card?A. A scanned copy of your qualification certificate and CITB test ID number from your CITB Health, safety and environment (HS&E) test, this can be found at the top of your pass certificate. You must have passed the appropriate test within the last 2 years.

Q. I would like a job working on construction sites. What do I need to do?A. To work on a construction site you need to have a valid CSCS card. To obtain a card you will need to have a certificate in a relevant qualification. If you have a qualification you will only need to sit your CSCS test and apply for a CSCS card. Q. My current CSCS card is running out, what do I need to do?A. If you currently hold a Green Labourers card you will need to check if your Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment certificate is still valid. If it is you will need to sit your CITB Health, safety and environment (HS&E) test commonly referred to as the CSCS test. Once you have completed and passed you can then apply for your CSCS card. If your certificate has expired you will need to undertake the Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment training and assessment and then take the CSCS test in order to renew your CSCS card.

Q. How long will it take for my CSCS card to be sent to me?A. It can take from 7-10 days from the application stage.

Q. What If I fail the test?A. If you fail the test you can book another test 48 hours after your initial test. If you fail we recommend buying revision material. A link can be found on the below tab. To book your new test click here

Q. What Identification do I need to take on the day?A. Candidates must present one of the following: A valid international travel passport. A valid passport of any nationality with a photograph of the candidate and their signature. A Driving License. A valid UK only driving license with a photograph of the candidate and the candidate’s signature. Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) or Biometric Residence Card (BRC) - only to be used as primary ID with a signature. If a candidate does not have the required form of primary ID they may present two forms of secondary ID. This must be one ID from List A, and one ID from List B (two from List A or two from List B is not acceptable). One type of secondary ID should have a photo and one should have a signature. List A Non UK Driving License EU Country Card / National Identity Card CSCS Card or Partner Card showing the CSCS logo (hologram) British Armed Forces Card New Veterans ID Card Citizen Card Biometric Resident Permit (BRP) - without signature Young Scots Card List B Credit Card Debit Card Bank Statement Photocopies of ID will not be accepted. Q. Will I get a refund if I cancel my CITB HS&E Test (CSCS)?A. If you cancel within 4 working days you will be able to get a refund. If you cancel within 3 working days or less there will be a £14.00 test administration fee. Cancellation on the day, or non-attendance a refund will not be given.

Q. Can I reschedule my CITB HS&E Test (CSCS)?A. Yes you can reschedule your test free of charge up to 4 working days before the test date and time. There will be no charge for rescheduling the test outside of the 4 working day window.

Q. If I forget to bring my ID, can I still do the training and test?No. You must bring the correct ID with you on the day. Failure to bring correct ID – will result in no admittance to training and testing. As a CITB approved and Pearson Vue authorised Test Centre, we are required to follow procedures and maintain expected standards as a Test Centre. Please note – training and testing fee will not be reimbursed.
